Could we target a similar behavior for GuixSD for the next release, where people could pass at least a password to startup parameters? I know about the problems with lsh vs openssh, but maybe this could be made switchable too, like: provide a grub menu where you can either directly pass arguments or Entry 1: Start GuixSD with openssh Entry 2: Start GuixSD with lsh the root password could be appended somehow via edia entry, in this theoretical land of possibilities. Being used to "every lack of feature or enhancement request is a bug" of Gentoo I would open a bug to track this, but maybe this can be put on the roadmap, to track it there as "remote setup enabled guixsd image"? It's not necessary for the next version, but for a 1.0, productive for server environments (and `guix deploy`) that's one of the many features which are on my wishlist. -- =E2=99=A5=E2=92=B6 ng0 For non-prism friendly talk find me on psyced.org / loupsycedyglgamf.onion --C7zPtVaVf+AK4Oqc Content-Type: application/pgp-signature; name="signature.asc" Content-Description: Digital signature -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- iQIcBAEBCgAGBQJXVp8YAAoJEAKilhUMIBgjlt0P/jqvBsR+RqVo02EWNsl4apVX 5IAk62eCFiARy5MPTFS26sQcjdWPdL0DXSgBZlN6yiiRHzJk9PCh3cywbGdvl2iF NoYy8cJMj5i9Z9eiQNicNdbInhysZ326UIlp+0zjAONmP+xpdOF5odhUQd5Mpr/c lv+LgDIJkYwQt00gDXcCUrha716KBXZ9Plca/NyiOOa48OPWWwLD6C8VtzXQuco/ xBsvZWl6/1OiwrwbMMMdcwEd4Il6wW2Z4dGlxBDxDklvbhMM6405E8wes2cT4kpJ 99SeLrk8Q70hYYTVyM+Sd71A976viPvKSv+VhdsH4FMqrKBEiKgqRkOs1aG3gdO0 yapu0HywQYDHbJ6RTG8ZZL+jAbyF9Btgb8GRAuRjhVFk9XdRjJT2u6Xm1Eh6WFW0 477G7g28k/hUPiBmIffIroYfm8eSiqaYwfqICN5QLaTXCyKv9nnbRFYi0hsFEetc uJQ96u8ry1wCsQAEUYY+uHR09MAyf8m+LTpjP4OU48eR4Fh0m0XylCVh/SifFl4T QFwjgWRswhbip6oYvO9PYpBhmEgdK9ZP3FxD5OtSIvb/URqbwEZISC++9I9wwkQG 1sW5xAJLPcYQdnItRDtu8ehKJItMPcBZL7r+hMJze/Y98yVoBq0Kfo+pxKT8noFF /RM7uMZIcA3DXz/zPEej =T+qa -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- --C7zPtVaVf+AK4Oqc--
