I don=E2=80=99t know *how* to do this elegantly, and That's an interesting idea which would also take care of similar situations in the future. One way to implement this is to have executables "guix1", "guix2" etc. Most users would then define an alias "guix" for interactive use, but hopefully script authors would use the versioned executables.
