FWIW, temp roots are added in ‘DerivationGoal::DerivationGoal’ when building things, and ‘DerivationGOal::haveDerivation’, ‘SubstitutionGoal::init’, ‘LocalStore::optimiseStore’ ‘LocalStore::addToStoreFromDump’, ‘LocalStore::addTextToStore’, ‘LocalStore::createTempDirInStore’ and ‘LocalStore::importPath’. I.e., temp roots are not only added from the add-temp-root RPC. Greetings, Maxime.
