No errors; just a ‘modern C++ library’, I'm afraid.  Building 
libtorrent-rasterbar@1.2.7 with 4 cores today still happily 
consumed 2 GiB of RAM.

It's no wonder your system started thrashing but there's little we 
can do.  Closing.
