FWIW flatwhatson reported the dreaded libgc =E2=80=9Cmmap(PROT_NONE)=E2=80= =9D crash upstream and gathered more info: https://github.com/ivmai/bdwgc/issues/353 On #guile they also mentioned that libgc 8 defaults to =E2=80=98--enable-munmap=3D6=E2=80=99 whereas libgc 7 would default to =E2= =80=98--disable-munmap=E2=80=99. Thus, in =E2=80=98core-updates=E2=80=99 commit a605ef3ce9dbd6b79dd9322f89d9= facaf875b487, I changed libgc 8 so it=E2=80=99s built with =E2=80=98--disable-munmap=E2= =80=99. This relieves the need for =E2=80=98guile-3.0/libgc-7=E2=80=99. (I checked with =E2=80= =9Cmake as-derivation=E2=80=9D on x86_64-linux that those derivations that would previously fail with libgc 8 no longer do.) Ludo=E2=80=99.
