I agree that =E2=80=9Crunning value=E2=80=9D is a confusing phrase.  That=
=E2=80=99s why I wrote
that it=E2=80=99s a PID most of the time, hoping that this would clarify it.

Yeah, it=E2=80=99s really just a PID:
