FWIW, I was thinking of

   (native-inputs
     (modify-inputs [...]
       (prepend autoconf
                automake
                libtool
                flex gperf
                gnu-gettext
                texinfo)))

, I haven't really thought about putting multiple inputs on a single
line myself.
