bug#39527: Cannot log into LXQt DE

Hello everyone,

as the title says, I am (no longer) able to log into the LXQt DE. When I 
first installed it system-wide, I was able to log in. Later, I deleted 
it from my os-config and reconfigured. Later again, I re-added it to my 
os config and reconfigured. Now I have tried a couple of this to deal 
with this:
1) I deleted previous system and profile generations. I used `guix gc` 
to garbage collect. Then I used `sudo guix system reconfigure`. At this 
point in time, I only had the (meta-)package "lxqt" in my os config 
file.
2) I added about every package with a "lxqt"-prefix to the os config 
file and essentially repeated the steps mentioned in 1).

I am not entire certain which informations you will need in order to be 
able to help me. But I guess two things I can easily provide are my 
system configuration and a log of the reconfigure process - the latter 
because during the last reconfigure's, I noticed some things I would at 
first sight classify as anomalies (lines starting with "WARNING"). I 
hope that the german sprinkles in between the log are not all too 
confusing ;-)

bug#39527: A new information on LXQt DE not "logging in"

Hello guys,

I have come to realise something which might be of interest, but which 
might also be something which is well known to you.

When trying to launch LXQt from the GDM login/session manager, the 
screen just went blank and nothing happened. This is why I assumed "it 
simply doesnt work". Now I have switched to another login manager, and 
logging in to LXQt works - only that I am directly prompted to specify 
which WM I wanted to use. I was unable to locate one under /usr/bin 
(only /usr/bin/env seems to live there) and thus had to go to the 
/gnu/store directory.

So I assume that the problem might either be a "personal one" where I 
have forgotten to set some path (even though I have not received a 
particular warning of sorts). Or it is a problem that, either generally 
or specific to LXQt, I would call the "linking" situation -- that not 
completely supported packages just dont (yet) know about the location of 
the binaries.

That said, it is possible that to you guys, this is nothing noteworthy 
because it is clear. It's just that to me, it wasn't because I'm 
learning both guile and the linux ecosystem. Thus, if the problem at 
hand is simply a general problem, it is not a bug. Which means that the 
topic can be closed, if there is nothing to add :)

Sorry for not responding to this bugreport earlier.
It is most likely the same issue as https://issues.guix.gnu.org/36508 https://issues.guix.gnu.org/36508 .

Running this would most likely fix it for now, provided you have the gdm service installed.
