When just running ./bootstrap, I also get the "no rule to make target".
Should not the bootstrap script also execute the
   cd nix; ./sync-with-upstream
commands?

This one actually ends with
   cp: cannot stat `../nix-upstream/{COPYING,AUTHORS}': No such file or 
directory.

Nevertheless, "make install" succeeds.


Then I start
   guix-daemon --build-users-group=nixbld

The command
   ./pre-inst-env guix-build hello
fails with
