Hi there,

I'm experiencing rather strange problems when entering large expressions 
at the prompt. It's hard to describe the problem, since the behaviour is 
so strange.

To illustrate:

when I enter a large list like this:

(list  0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 
0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0

I get the error message:

standard input:10016:1: While evaluating arguments to list in expression 
(list 0 0 ...):
standard input:10016:1: Unbound variable: a
ABORT: (unbound-variable)

when I make the 'aaa....aaa symbol longer, the name of the unbound 
variable becomes longer by the amount of a's that I entered. So it seems 
that the reader fails to comprehend expressions of a certain length. But 
the strange thing is that this length is not fixed. That is, when I add 
some more zeroes before the 'aaa...aaa symbol, everythings fine, no 
errors.

I'm at a loss here. Is there anybody out there who can explain this 
phenomena to me?
