Hey Guilers,

As some of you may already know, the Spritely Institute is building
new foundations for the internet; technology that is safer,
decentralized, distributed, and community-centric. But we can't
continue on without *you*! Today, Spritely has launched its first ever
supporter drive and we're asking the community to help us reach our
fundraising goal of $80,000 USD by February 5th, 2025.

We want to build networks that empower secure collaboration and
healthy communities, but the reality is that it's simply too hard to
build such networks with contemporary web development tools and
standards. Thus, Spritely has set out to do research and develop tools
that make peer-to-peer, secure, collaborative communication platforms
something that any developer can build, not just subject matter
experts.

Notably, we made the interesting decision to implement our vision with
Guile! Spritely has chosen Guile due to Scheme's usefulness in
programming language research and Guile's practical implementation
that allows us to get things done. Your donations *directly* fund the
development of projects in the Guile ecosystem such as Goblins [0], a
capability-secure distributed programming library, and Hoot [1], a
Scheme to WebAssembly compiler and toolchain. Our work has also
resulted in improvements to Guile itself, the Haunt static site
generator, the fibers concurrency library, and the GnuTLS bindings to
name a few. Please consider donating to support this important and
ongoing work!

Spritely is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit and donations are tax-deductible in the US.

Thanks for reading and happy scheming!

- Dave (Spritely CTO)
