Back when there was some debate about changing the Guile license, istr that quite a few people spoke up that they used Guile quite a bit, but the projects were mostly unknown because they were internal or commercial, and didn't have a large "internet presence". The Guile Community might be quite a bit larger than what you might think based solely on mailling list activity or sourceforge projects (or whatever). I agree that there should be a nice library of code that people can depend on. When I first started learning Python, I was stunned by the size of the library that came with it. Fwiw, I've got some half finished zlib code laying around somewhere. It could compress/decompress memory, but I got stuck trying to compress/decompress scheme ports. Anyone intrested in looking at it and maybe adding it to the new Guile Library? -Dale -- Dale P.
