Is running autogen.sh the only thing one has to do when
trying a build from a git cloned repository? While running
it, I get multiple times the error:

configure.ac:871: warning: macro `AM_GNU_GETTEXT' not found in library

and finally the error:

configure.ac:871: warning: macro `AM_GNU_GETTEXT' not found in library
autoreconf: running: /usr/local/bin/autoconf --force
configure.ac:898: error: possibly undefined macro: AM_GNU_GETTEXT
      If this token and others are legitimate, please use m4_pattern_allow.
      See the Autoconf documentation.
autoreconf: /usr/local/bin/autoconf failed with exit status: 1

  If I try to run configure I get:

$ ./configure
configure: error: cannot find install-sh, install.sh, or shtool in build-aux "."/build-aux

I am using:

$ automake --version
automake (GNU automake) 1.11.1
$ autoconf --version
autoconf (GNU Autoconf) 2.65
$ libtool --version
libtool (GNU libtool) 2.2.8

and "git show" prints as last commit
a4082ab57e81c1826906c1a8601593e8dea5078c.

TIA
