I am pleased to announce version 0.9.3 of Skribilo, a schemey document authoring system. http://dl.sv.nongnu.org/releases/skribilo/skribilo-0.9.3.tar.gz http://dl.sv.nongnu.org/releases/skribilo/skribilo-0.9.3.tar.gz.sig The SHA1 sums for these two files are: f04da6450a90240c82a50cd8f999b7f9b4860e77 skribilo-0.9.3.tar.gz d5e70a6cf77aab42e214757d2cedcaf278c95506 skribilo-0.9.3.tar.gz.sig Documentation is available at: http://www.nongnu.org/skribilo/ Skribilo is a free document production tool that takes a structured document representation as its input and renders that document in a variety of output formats: HTML and Info for on-line browsing, and Lout, LaTeX or ConTeXt for high-quality hard copies. The input document can use Skribilo’s markup language to provide information about the document’s structure, which is similar to HTML or LaTeX and does not require expertise. Alternatively, it can use a simpler, “markup-less” format that borrows from Emacs’ outline mode and From other conventions used in emails, Usenet, and text. Skribilo can be thought of as a document programming framework for the Scheme programming language that may be used to automate a variety of document generation tasks. It uses GNU Guile 2.0 or 1.8 as the underlying Scheme implementation. Skribilo is a follow-up to Manuel Serrano’s and Érick Gallesio’s Skribe (thank you!). It is based on the code base of Skribe 1.2d but differs in important ways. Excerpt from the ‘NEWS’ file: * New in Skribilo 0.9.3 ** Skribilo now speaks your native language Translations are currently available in Danish, French, Hungarian, and Swedish. See . Note that the locale also affects the language used in bibliography entries and similar. ** HTML engine: all the footnotes are emitted for single-file documents Previously, only the footnotes of the last chapter or section would be output. ** HTML engine: each footnote is enclosed in
Previously, each footnote was surrounded by
and
. The above change should make CSS customization easier. ** HTML engine: footnote HTML is now valid It used to be that footnote HTML code contained an extraneous
, and nested tags, which is invalid. ** LaTeX engine: paragraphs no longer systematically preceded by \noindent ** acmproc: fix typos in the LaTeX engine customs ** acmproc: `references' uses a chapter, the default font, and sorts entries ** lncs: style of bibliography entries more closely matches LNCS style. ** `ref' warnings now always print the location of erroneous `:bib' references ** `numref' inserts an unbreakable space (was a breakable space) after its `:text' Thanks, Ludovic.
