Is there another libgtrees.* library installed in some other directory
(e.g. /lib or /usr/lib)?
Does /usr/local/lib precede /lib and /usr/lib in your search path for
shared libs (LD_LIBRARY_PATH, LTLD_LIBRARY_PATH)?
When you grep through the output of 'strace' for 'libgtrees', what do
you see?
