and right you are. I don't know what the policy is these days, nor
how stupid do I sound with this advice from the sidelines, but to
avoid drowning in discussions it is IMHO advisable to do the
following:
* don't publish patches, many people are too lazy to install them.
instead work in a branch of the main CVS repository.
* don't worry about style and policy until you are ready to merge.

Due to the holiday next Monday, there will be no garbage collection.
