Can you please tell us what software you use? Specifically, your MTA apparently sends delivery status notifications (DSNs) to the address listed in the "From:" header. This is very wrong. It is very bad for mailing lists in particular, because it causes your DSNs to be sent to the original poster instead of to the mailing list system itself. MTAs should ideally send DSNs to the envelope sender, i.e. the address specified in the "MAIL" SMTP command. If this is too difficult to implement, you should at least use the address specified in the "Errors-To:" header, or if that isn't present, the "Sender:" header. In any case, please respond to let us know that you received this. For some time now, everyone who posts to guile-devel receives a bounce from the MTA at stelco.com.mv. Thanks, Mark ^ permalink raw reply [flat|nested] 6+ messages in thread

I don't seem to have admin access to this list. Ludo do you have access? Just to ask, before bothering the sysadmins... Yes, it's correct that I did do that for a while. But then the whole job was passed to a group of mailing list administrators at GNU - as suggested by the "listhelper-moderateDELETEME at gnu.org" address at the bottom of, e.g., http://lists.gnu.org/mailman/listinfo/guile-devel. So, I think that's the address to contact, if you want to help administer the lists, or if you have particular requests. Regards, Neil ^ permalink raw reply [flat|nested] 6+ messages in thread

I have now done this; sorry for the delay, there were some issues with the admin password for the list. Andy -- http://wingolog.org/ ^ permalink raw reply [flat|nested] 6+ messages in thread
