The definite list of naming conventions is the section "Naming
Conventions" in the file HACKING.

We probably need to distinguish between "must" conventions and
"should" conventions there, tho.  I.e. the scm_i_ convention must be
followed, but scm_n_ only should.

On what?  Scrapping the old names or following the new convention?
