My plans were to announce that bugs are no tracked differently, and to
find the places in our scattered docs where we should point to the new
   bug database, and fix them.

Then, I'll gather all bugs I have recorded somewhere (mostly on the
list, and in my personal TODO file), and put them into the database.

here is a related item in TODO:

  - scan mailing list archives for bugs and add them

would it be correct to append '[mvo]' to this? 1.5.6 release triggered
lots of reports, so maybe we can split this task into two parts (for
attack by two people): reports up to, say, 2002-03, and reports after.
what do you think?

I can do that, see my direct reply to him.

cool. i'll document this in TODO.
