I'm working on the 2.0.11 packages, and with relatively current Debian,
I see this when installing the new packages:

  Processing triggers for libc-bin (2.18-4) ...
/sbin/ldconfig.real: /usr/lib/libguile-2.0.so.22.7.2-gdb.scm is not an ELF file - it has the wrong magic bytes at the start.

Which made me wonder why a scm file ended up in /usr/lib (assuming I
didn't cause that via packaging somehow).

Thanks

I think this is best answered by the manuals:

  http://www.gnu.org/software/guile/manual/html_node/GDB-Support.html
  http://sourceware.org/gdb/current/onlinedocs/gdb/objfile_002dgdbdotext-file.html

GNU libstdc++ does something similar. How does the Debian package
handle it?

Thanks,
Ludo’.

Thanks -- that helps.

It looks like the right place for it in Debian is
/usr/share/gdb/auto-load.
