Hello all,

Apologies for the delay in resolving this issue with LD_LIBRARY_PATH,
but we *do* plan to get this fix in 2.0.7.  After discussion with
Ludovic on IRC, I believe we've reached agreement.

I've attached a revised patch that incorporates Ludovic's suggestions.
Comments and suggestions solicited.
