The manual describes SCM_SIMPLE_VECTOR_SET_X but vectors.h has it as
just SCM_SIMPLE_VECTOR_SET, ie. without the "_X". Which is it meant
to be?

Since 1.8 has been released, we should stick with
SCM_SIMPLE_VECTOR_SET, I'd say.
