Well, if we can do it safely and fairly easily, I'd still be inclined to add the code for ucontext_t on HP-UX because that lowers the bar for future progress. Is there a sufficiently specific test that you think might be appropriate? > I'd like to get guile working at some point on the HP-UX IA64 platform > but I don't know if that means getting the 1.6.* branch to work or if I > should just look at the top-of-tree sources. Well if your needs aren't short-to-medium term, or if your intended purpose can handle a potentially very unstable guile, then you might want to focus on CVS HEAD (i.e. 1.7). However, if you need something stable, then 1.6 is it. -- Rob Browning rlb @defaultvalue.org and @debian.org; previously @cs.utexas.edu GPG starting 2002-11-03 = 14DD 432F AE39 534D B592 F9A0 25C8 D377 8C7E 73A4 _______________________________________________ Guile-devel mailing list Guile-devel@gnu.org http://lists.gnu.org/mailman/listinfo/guile-devel
