I have ‘:pserver:anonymous@bdwgc.cvs.sourceforge.net:/cvsroot/bdwgc’ in
‘CVS/Root’ and “cvs up” works well. Do you really have to log in? What
if you use an empty password?
Otherwise you can still get a release tarball from
http://www.hpl.hp.com/personal/Hans_Boehm/gc/gc_source/ .
