I may eventually, but if I do, I can't nearly as easily cherry-pick
patches, or update to a new release.

It's quite handy to be able to use normal git commands with respect to
upstream development.

(And for anyone remotely interested -- I use git-dpm -- many thanks to
 Bernhard.)
