Strictly speaking these are matters for those packages rather than guile. There's a HACKING file in the workbook (and the dist) with some notes concerning guile. /**************************************************************************/ [bugs #869] Full Item Snapshot: URL: Project: Guile Submitted by: Tony Sidaway On: Wed 07/17/02 at 21:35 Category: None Severity: 5 - Average Item Group: None Resolution: Works for me Assigned to: None Status: Closed Summary: README.autogen/README.newbie Original Submission: A relatively old version of automake (1.4) and/or old libtool 1.3.3) caused autogen.sh to barf with a cryptic message about "macro 'AM_PROG_LIBTOOL' not found in the library." Perhaps a README.autogen (or README.newbie) is called for. Points to watch out for: automake 1.6.2 is okay. libtool 1.4.2 is okay. After building libtool, be sure to perform a "hash -r" (if in bash) or "rehash" (in csh) if you have a /usr/local install coexisting with an older /usr install.
