Subject: guile-1.6.4: build feedback: GNU/Linux on Alpha
Date: Thu, 24 Apr 2003 08:31:52 -0600 (MDT) [thread overview]
Message-ID: <CMM.0.92.0.1051194712.beebe@suncore.math.utah.edu> (raw)
Machinetype: DEC Alphastation 200 4/100 (1 CPU, 100 MHz Alpha 21064 EV4, 64MB RAM); GNU/Linux 2.2.22-6.2.2
Remote gcc version: gcc (GCC) 3.3 20030407 (prerelease)
Remote g++ version: g++ (GCC) 3.3 20030407 (prerelease)
Configure environment: CC=gcc CXX=g++ LDFLAGS="-Wl,-rpath /usr/local/lib"
/bin/sh ../libtool --mode=link gcc -g -O2 -Wall -Wmissing-prototypes -Wl,-rpath /usr/local/lib -o libguile-ltdl.la -rpath /usr/local/lib -version-info 1:0:0 -export-dynamic -no-undefined guile-ltdl.lo -ldl -lcrypt -lm
rm -fr .libs/libguile-ltdl.la .libs/libguile-ltdl.* .libs/libguile-ltdl.*
gcc -shared guile-ltdl.lo -ldl -lcrypt -lm -Wl,-rpath -Wl,-soname -Wl,libguile-ltdl.so.1 -o .libs/libguile-ltdl.so.1.0.0
/usr/local/lib/gcc-lib/alpha-unknown-linux-gnu/3.3/../../../../alpha-unknown-linux-gnu/bin/ld: cannot open libguile-ltdl.so.1: No such file or directory
collect2: ld returned 1 exit status
This is a problem that I've seen in several other packages: libtool
(1.4.3) is losing the argument to -Wl,-rpath.
