This is (another) bug in libltdl. It first tries the ".la" extenstion
and then should continue with the ".so" extension. However, it
incorrectly stops when no ".la" file could be found.
A workaround is to use
(load-extension "libguile-bessel.so" "init_bessel")
for the time being.
We will release a Guile 1.6.1 shortly that will always use a libltdl
with this bug fixed.
