Details:
The manual ought to document the pkg-config extensiondir and sitedir variables
and give examples of their use within a configure.ac file and also how they
can be used with automake.
Right now, extensiondir is only mentioned in NEWS.
The site dir is mentioned in NEWS, but not how to obtain it using pkg-config.
