In this example, `foo.scm' should be auto-compiled only the first time, but
it gets recompiled each time:

$ touch foo.scm bar.scm
$ cat foo.scm
(define-module (foo))
$ cat bar.scm
(use-modules (foo))
(display "hello!\n")
$ guile -L . bar.scm
;;; note: source file bar.scm
;;; newer than compiled

Is it because of "."? What if you replaced "." with `pwd` ?
