It looks like the project has been unregistered.  Marco: can you tell us
what happened to GEE?  Personally, I hope it didn't vanish.

I found the answer, which is sad news:

  https://gna.org/support/?1913

I personally oppose the ability to delete a project from a free software
hosting platform like Gna!.

I agree, in particular because code is still protected by copyright
(and can be reused in other projects) and it is useful to keep some
trace.

I've removed the obsolete reference to GEE from MPFR's web page.
If the project reappears somewhere, I can add it again.
