For example in in src/Makefile.in there's a mixture of both: LIBES = $(LIBS) $(LIBX_BASE) $(LIBX_OTHER) $(LIBSOUND) \ $(RSVG_LIBS) ${IMAGEMAGICK_LIBS} $(DBUS_LIBS) \ ${LIBXML2_LIBS} $(LIBGPM) $(LIBRESOLV) $(LIBS_SYSTEM) \ $(LIBS_TERMCAP) $(GETLOADAVG_LIBS) ${GCONF_LIBS} ${LIBSELINUX_LIBS} \ $(FREETYPE_LIBS) $(FONTCONFIG_LIBS) $(LIBOTF_LIBS) $(M17N_FLT_LIBS) \ $(LIBGNUTLS_LIBS) \ $(LIB_GCC) $(LIB_MATH) $(LIB_STANDARD) $(LIB_GCC) Also why the ugly ${lispsource}loaddefs.el instead of ${lispsource}/loaddefs.el ? ^ permalink raw reply [flat|nested] 4+ messages in thread

Would there be any double slashes if lispsource is defined as: lispsource = ${srcdir}/../lisp and uses like: ${lispsource}/loaddefs.el would be changed to: ${lispsource}/loaddefs.el ? ^ permalink raw reply [flat|nested] 4+ messages in thread

I think it is just a matter of two different styles that were initially written by different people. Nothing important. Also why the ugly ${lispsource}loaddefs.el instead of ${lispsource}/loaddefs.el ? If lispsource ends in a slash, we don't want to add another one. ^ permalink raw reply [flat|nested] 4+ messages in thread
