So, for example: $ cd /tmp $ rm -f xx $ ln -s /home xx If I now try to use emacs to read /localhost:/tmp/xx, it fails. $ rm xx $ ln -s ../home xx Now it succeeds, with or without the patch. -- Andrew Koenig, ark@research.att.com, http://www.research.att.com/info/ark
