Hello,
a few months ago we had a change in cursor display on images that
would cause just the border of the image to blink instead of the
whole image.
A similar issue is around images with the mouse-highlight property
set: if the images are mostly of uniform color, the whole image lights
up in green. I think it would be reasonably to do the same thing
here as with the cursor blinking.
