At least in German, the dead ones are the more problematic ones, ~ `,
maybe ^. ~ and ` are rarely used in programming, too. | is not that
bad and in the usual keybindings it has mnemonic value for pipes.
At least M-C-` and M-C-~ are not currently bound...
