Hi,
does anyone know how to activate the tool-bar under Windows XP?
I'm using GNU Emacs 21.3.1 (i386-msvc-nt5.1.2600) which I complied
myself. Setting tool-bar-mode to t changes nothing at all.
Did I miss any libs?

There is no image support on MS-Windows in 21.3.

But if you are compiling yourself, anyway, fetch the developer Emacs
from CVS. Well worth it. Personally, the tool-bar is the first
thing I disable when I get it, but there are a lot of other neat
things.
