Doesn't the returned monitor attributes list give you that information ?
E.g. on a Windows box:

(frame-monitor-attributes (selected-frame))
=> ((geometry 0 0 1920 1080)  ; Monitor size and position
    (workarea 0 0 1920 1050)  ; Space available for drawing frames
    (mm-size 509 286)         ; Physical dimensions
    (name . "\\\\.\\DISPLAY1")
    (frames ...))

What other information do you need ?
