Message-ID: <v9hcjl2j13.fsf@marauder.physik.uni-ulm.de> (raw)
In-Reply-To: <E1IsspP-0003Yd-0g@fencepost.gnu.org> (Richard Stallman's message of "Thu, 15 Nov 2007 23:29:15 -0500")

This is a display problem on Windows. It's not specific to Gnus.
I.e. in the following file (or the attachment example_Umlaut.txt in
the original report) the display problem occurs as well:

--8<---------------cut here---------------start------------->8---
First line in <http://www.hobbyecke-pc.de/images/screensh1.png>:

  Zuletzt geöffnete Dateien

First non-quoted line in <http://www.hobbyecke-pc.de/images/screensh2.png>:

  wä wö mä mö

--8<---------------cut here---------------end--------------->8---

The output of `describe-char' from the original message might allow
developers (on Windows) to reproduce the problem.

Richard, including the Message-ID header in the forwarded message
would make it easier to find the original message. (X-Spam-Status
isn't useful, IMHO.)
