Hi,

Gnus is good but it is overkill for my needs at work plus I miss the
tag/label from rmail when in Gnus.

Do you know how I can use either rmail or VM on my work computer ?

Yes, and you can too just by reading the Rmail section of the Emacs
manual, or the VM manual.
