Subject: M-RET collisions (flyspell-correct-word-before-point)

Hi,
the new[1] key binding of M-RET for `flyspell-correct-word-before-point'
collides with `message-newline-and-reformat' (Gnus, message-mode) and
`LaTeX-insert-item' (AUCTeX, LaTeX-mode).
As `flyspell-mode' is a minor mode, I think we should better bind
`flyspell-correct-word-before-point' to `C-c [punctuation]':
,----[ (info "(elisp)Keymaps and Minor Modes") ]
| The key sequences bound in a minor mode should consist of `C-c'
| followed by one of `.,/?`'"[]\|~!#$%^&*()-_+='. (The other punctuation
| characters are reserved for major modes.)
`----
Unfortunately `reftex-mode', a minor mode often used when writing
(La)TeX files, already binds some of the suggested characters [2].
(AUCTeX also uses some of these [3] although in LaTeX-mode, a major
mode.)
`C-c $' (in analogy to `M-$' for `ispell-word') might be an option for
`flyspell-correct-word-before-point'.
Bye, Reiner.
