Is there a way (via hooks maybe) to force all instances of text-mode
buffers to use a particular proportional font, while all others would use
some fixed font, system font, or whatever Emacs sets up as the default?

Related question: Does the switch '(w32-list-proportional-fonts t)) add
proportional fonts to the w32 fonts dialog box or does it toggle between
monospace and proportional fonts?

Thanks,

Ed

Setting the variable w32-list-proportional-fonts to t will add
proportional fonts to the font dialog.
