There's no need to try to find this out empirically: Texinfo
explicitly limits the number of levels to 4. These levels are (from
highest to lowest): chapter, section, subsection, subsubsection. From
the Texinfo manual:
5.11 The `subsub' Commands
==========================
The fourth and lowest level sectioning commands in Texinfo are the
`subsub' commands. They are:
`@subsubsection'
