I'm seeing problems with the *compile* buffer not updating properly
during/after a compile.

If I kick off a compile using M-x compile, I'll see some output in the
*compile* buffer, then no more output will be added to the buffer. If
I click the mouse in the buffer of type ^L in the buffer, additional
output will be added to the buffer.

Version: GNU Emacs 22.1.1 (i386-mingw-nt5.1.2600) of 2007-06-02 on
RELEASE

This is a standard pre-compiled emacs.

This is on MS-Windows XP SP2: Microsoft Windows XP [Version 5.1.2600]

Thanks

Dave N.

Thank you for your report.

Which commands/programs do you run via "M-x compile" when these
problems happen?

Also, does the same happen in "emacs -Q"?

Finally, did you somehow set up your system to force Emacs to run a
port of a Unixy shell when it starts subsidiary processes? Or do you
use cmdproxy as per the default configuration?
