I have found the cc mode at:

http://cc-mode.sourceforge.net/

But after enabling colors in emacs I already get syntax colors and
highlighting, so are there any reason to install the cc-mode on the
above link?

How do you interpret "standard package in both Emacs and XEmacs"?

,----[ http://cc-mode.sourceforge.net/ ]
| CC Mode is an Emacs and XEmacs mode for editing C and other
| languages with similar syntax; [...]. It's a standard package in
| both Emacs and XEmacs.
`----

Bye, Reiner.

cc-mode already comes with Emacs and it should work by default.
