No idea. But anyone who doesn't know by now what they are supposed to
do probably either doesn't read emacs-devel, or has tuned out all the
version control discussion, so you might just want to mail Mark and
anyone else who slips up directly, or at least cc them.
(I don't know what isearch-update-post-hook has to do with a feature
freeze either.)
