Customize yes-or-no-p prompt from Elisp?

Customize yes-or-no-p prompt from Elisp?

At present this is hard-wired in the C file:

AUTO_STRING (yes_or_no, "(yes or no) ");

I'd like to be able to customize this in some cases to something more
terse  --- hearing "yes or no " each time gets wordy.

Please submit a feature request bug report, using report-emacs-bug, so
that this request doesn't get forgotten and lost.
