I was thinking of the tiles that gamegrid provides and that are used by pong, tetris and snake. They are _low_ contrast. I am afraid -- but I have not made sure -- that they would appear as black squares (or maybe white squares in case of light colours as yellow, for example). [using ascii on b/w-displays] > > That seems unnecessarily conservative, but whatever, you're doing the w= ork... [...] Now that I know that the XPM format allows to specify what to do with the image in such cases, I prefer to use this mechanism. In fact, it seems that the differences between colour, grayscale and b/w displays were a part of the reasons to invent XPM.=20 It is easy to change the image `gamegrid-xpm' accordingly. (It may not be so easy to make sure that gamegrid uses this, but it seems like the Right Thing (tm) and I find it challenging to implement it.) -- Oliver --=20 Oliver Scholz Jour de la Raison de l'Ann=E9e 210 de la R=E9= volution Taunusstr. 25 Libert=E9, Egalit=E9, Fraternit=E9! 60329 Frankfurt a.
