I think it is a fine idea.  I'm a little surprised it doesn't exist
yet somewhere.  It shouldn't be too hard to write... :-)

That said, I doubt I'd use it.  I rarely even use occur -- and when
I'm doing multi-file things I almost always also want to search the
files in my project that I'm not visiting.
