1. The documentation string for `set-window-start' says
window defaults to the selected window.
but the `window' argument is not optional -- so it should say that
when it is nil the selected window is used.
2. `set-window-hscroll' doesn't even mention that the `window'
argument can be nil.

I've now fixed this in Emacs 24.
