I can speak for the xwidget project.

- Code has been progressing in our bzr branch as well as our github
  repo: https://github.com/jave/xwidget-emacs. Implementation notes are
  there as well.
  
- Daimrod presented his progress during the Gnu Hacker Meeting:
http://www.gnu.org/ghm/2013/paris/

- Daimrod has been present at #emacs, discussing his work.

So in my head we have been pretty forthcoming with information through
the channels that felt natural at the time. In retrospect we should have
involved emacs-devel more.
